Drop from ten million users to 1 million 17 license of paging stations were cancelled in Guangdong Province

　　The reporter learnt from the communication administration bureau of Guangdong province on February 5, about 90 telecommunication value-added service licenses were cancelled in the whole province, including 17 paging station and 4 phone information service suppliers. Give up power of management on one's own initiative for enterprise oneself at most while being among them. Most new statistics shows at present the telecommunication value-added service providers of the whole province were more than 3000.

　　The formal notice that the communication administration bureau of Guangdong Province issued yesterday is expressed, through examining, in the annual check of business license of telecommunication service, 67 telecommunication value-added service licenses had not participated in annual check according to the regulation in prior year, 23 operators applied to cancel their business licenses. So, according to "management method of business license of telecommunication service" of Ministry of Information Industry, have cancelled 90 business licenses, include: 4 call center business operators, 4 phone information service suppliers, 17 wireless paging stations, 28 Internet accessing service providers and 37 Internet information service providers.

　　According to the introduction of relevant directors of this office, these telecommunication value-added service providers, the great majority had no business, or unable to continue managing down.

　　According to the newest statistics, there are more than 3000 enterprises which is engaged in the value-added telecom services in the whole province of Guangdong at present, rely mainly on information service of Internet among them.

　　This time in the license cancelled, 17 paging stations is in them.
According to introduction, because the development of mobile communication and fierce market competition in the past two years, paging station sudden drops from exceed 100 in great prosperity period already, at present the whole province has paging business left more than 10 of operator only.
According to the statistics show, the paging trade declining day by day, include only accounts for about 0.4% of the total income of national telecommunications industry at present.

　　In Guangdong province, the paging station only has more than 10 left at present, number of user of paging also drops to in 1 million probably, it was ten million before. Rely mainly on UNICOM's paging among them , has accounted for more than 90% of the paging market share. The developing focus of its paging has turned to information service even if it is UNICOM, but still is in the state of losing.

　　Recently, UNICOM Hong Kong listed companies are stripping the paging business in the listed company through a transaction, and will sell to China SATCOM.
