Reported on June 20, the survey released by Insight Research recently
shows that the predicted VOIP usage number will exceed that of current
PBX in the year of 2009.
This report also shows that, since 2003, the number of IP PBX phone
set sold by Nortel and Avaya is higher than their competitors Cisco and
3Com.
It also reports that the sales amount of traditional PBX telephone equipments
in this year will reach 4.3 billion US dollars. The IP sales will increase
dramatically in the coming years, and it will exceed the sales of traditional
phone set until 2009.
Predicted by Insight Research, the compound increase rate of VOIP PBX
phone will remain 20% in the coming years, while that of traditional TDM
(time divided multi line) will decrease at the rate of 20%.
