Avaya Acquired the Audio Conference Manufacturer Spectel

  Avaya Company has acquired the audio conference manufacturer Spectel at the price of 103 million US dollars, planning to increase video/audio/Web integrated conference to its enterprise VoIP platform. This acquisition has strengthened the enterprise conference technical force of Avaya, and also created new market for providing conference equipments to service providers.

  According to the new strategy report issued by the UK market research company ARC Group, the scale of global mobile enterprise service market will reach 177 billion US dollars in 2009. Although mobile voice service accounts for a significant portion in this mixed service, the industry solution targeting at mobile work staff will lead the growth of this market. In the coming five years, the industry solution targeting at mobile work staff will increase four times, and account for 40% of the total market revenue by 2009.

  Analysts say, since the revenue from data communication only accounts for a small part of voice communication, operators need to orient themselves as service provider in the enterprise market, or they will face the risk of sales revenue decrease.

  The survey shows, mobile network operator are most influential in the enterprise market at present. However, by 2009, this market structure will change dramatically. Content provider and other service providers will have the largest influence to the enterprise market.

AP ICRM market recovers slowly but stably

  In 2003, the whole interactive CRM (ICRM) market of AP has increased by 0.7% compared with that of 2002, and reached 620.6 million US dollars. However, since many enterprises will upgrade or deploy their ICRM solution, the market of 2004 will increase by 18.6%, and reaches 736.1 million US dollars. According to the prediction of a market research firm, Frost & Sullivan, the ICRM market of AP will increase at the compound rate of 13% during 2003-2010. By 2007, its revenue will reach 1.13 billion US dollars.

  China, Australia, India and Japan are still four major ICRM markets, and the revenue from these four countries account for 69.3% of the total. The market share of Japan is the largest, and its revenue accounts for 30.4% of the total.
