  According to IDG, Quintum Technologies has released a new kind of gateway which can help big-sized enterprises or institutes to connect the traditional telephone set to the VoIP network. Tenor AX gateway can collect all the PBX line signals and transmit these signals on the IP network to make it possible to reduce the cost through integrating the voice and data connection. The equipment can be applied to the traditional PBX system of any standard with no need for upgrading the voice and data facilities. Tenor AX has different versions to support 8, 16 and 24 voice-port. It can be connected to PBX through the PSTN port on one end. There is an Ethernet port for IP connection on the other end. Tenor includes integrated H.323 gateway and SIP user-agent software. The SIP user-agent software makes it possible for Tenor to interoperate with IP PBX and VoIP equipment based on various standards. The QoS techniques involves the support to IP services and Differentiated Service.
