Nokia providing new solution to integrate VoIP services and broadband

　　At the Broadband World Forum held in Venice, Italy on September 21, Nokia put forward a new solution to the broadband operators to integrate the VoIP services and broadband.

　　The new solution is called Nokia Voice, which can realize the compatibility between POTS and Nokia D500 IP DSLAM and also realize the connection between the traditional voice line and the network based on information packs to integrate the voice services and broadband to enhance the operators in expanding telecom equipment. Moreover, it can also help reduce the cost by reducing the requirements for traditional POTS equipment.

Zoom Video won the bid for the construction of videoconference system for the state/local tax bureau of Yingkou

　　Recently, Zoom Video won the bid for City, Liaoning province. The service, covering more than 6 districts/counties of Yingkou City, improves the informatization in duty declaration and policy publicizing. It is known that the videoconference system of the state tax bureau and local tax bureau of Yingkou city is the only pilot project in Liangning province in the construction of digital local taxation. It set a good example for the tax-oriented informatization of other cities in the province. Zoom Video has won the bid with its solutions of high performance-cost ratio and perfect after-sales service.

Unicom providing "enterprise jingle bell" to gain income on data business

At the First E-government Exhibition of the Forum of the Majors of the Provincial Cities of Zhujiang Delta Region in Guangzhou last week, Guangzhou Unicom demonstrated various kinds of applications based on CDMA1X platform. One of them is "enterprise jingle bell".

　　Since entering the market, enterprise jingle bell has always been mainly used by individual users for entertainment. However, Guangdong Unicom has recently made great efforts in expanding this service to enterprise users. When the clients or partners of these enterprises dial the number of the mobile phone of the staff of the enterprises, they will hear the songs or other music as designed by the enterprise instead of the traditional boring rings. According to Guangzhou Unicom, there is already such a service in the six CDMA1X applications to gain the market share of data business.

Milestone for VoIP techniques: Ford Motor planning to install 50,000 IP telephone sets

　　SBC announced on this Tuesday that Ford Motor Company planned to install 50,000 VoIP telephone sets in the offices in Michigan. This is the biggest deal with single customer in VoIP telephone up until now.
According to SBC, it has been selected by Ford Motor to provide telephone sets and design services. It will be responsible for managing the VoIP telephone services of Ford Motor and will provide Ford Motor with the VoIP telephone sets as manufactured by Cisco.

　　With the value may be as high as 100 million USD, the contract signed between SBC and Ford will be regarded as a milestone in the development of VoIP techniques. It expands the cooperation relationships between Ford Motor and SBC.
