Customer of Altitude software forms a call center federation in
Athens
Call Center Hellas, the largest call center operator in Greece and
a long-term client of Altitude Software, has established a cooperation
relationship with OTE group (telecom company in Greece) to operate the
call center for the 2004 Olympics games.
Call Center Hellas is a member of Newsphone Hellas. Newsphone Hellas
is a leading provider of content, information and applications on Greece
market. Since 1998 when it was established, Call Center Hellas has provided
advanced customer management solutions from Altitude software for its
call center with more than 200 seats.
Since the beginning of August, Athens 2004 call center has been operating
7 days a week and 24 hours a day. The call center was operated in three
languages, English, French and Greek. It provides important information
to not only the spectators and the visitors but also the residents of
Athens and other cities holding Olympics.
The three call centers of DTW was accepted by the user
DTW Express, established in July 1999, is the only sales agent of Federal
Express (U.S.) in China. It has 144 stations in China.
With the growth of business, DTW decided at the beginning of 2004 to
choose a provider for a perfect call center system by means of public
bidding. At last Beijing UltraTelecom Technologies won the bid.
After a month of trial operation in Beijing (North China), the call
center gained the favor of DTW Express. After that, three call center
systems were put into operation successively in North China (Beijing),
South China (Shenzhen) and East China (Shanghai) in May, June and July.
All these call centers were proved to be qualified in the acceptance check
in August.
IDC: IP voice services will account for 7.6 billion USD on the enterprise
market in 2008
After years of advertising and market promotion, VoIP
has been turned from a newly rising technique into a feasible commercial
solution. VoIP service has not only drawn attention of the medias, but
also is becoming popular among enterprises. In 2004, the income from IP
voice services among American enterprises will reach 76 millions USD.
According to the latest report made by IDC, a consultative company, the
annual compounding growth rate on the global IP voice services market
will reach 282% and the total annual income in 2008 will reach 7.6 billion
USD.
WLAN IP telephone put into use
Recently, WLAN telephone as produced by Vocera Communications was put
into use in a hospital in the Silicon Valley of America. It took the place
of Pager and interphone which were quite popular among medical staffs.
It is known that, the major functions of Vocera products include literal
information services, interphoing services within WLAN and calling-out
services. It has no dial key and the user only need to speak out the number
of the receiver. The telephone set can recognize by itself and dial up
the corresponding number.
