Siemens and Huawei cooperate in datacomm

  Huawei Technologies and the Siemens Communications Group have signed a cooperation contract. According to the agreement, Huawei will proivde network infrastructure products to Siemens, including the Quidway routers and switches.

  The cooperation with Huawei will provide more choices and bring more benefits for the users of the HiPath enterprise solutions of Siemens in the future when the second generation IP network is applied.

Research: 12 million families in America will use VoIP services in 5 years

  According to a latest research report, there will be 12 million families enjoying VoIP services by the end of 2009.
On Thursday, JupiterResearch pointed out in a research report that, by the end of 2009, about 17% of the families in America that can get access to broadband service will enjoy VoIP service, while the proportion is only 1% by the end of 2004.

  As the VoIp service is becoming more and more popular, AT&T, Vonage and some other companies have been trying to attract the consumers by reducing the price of the service greatly.

Seminar of China International Power Line Communication(PLC)Techniques and Applications to be held

3Com cooperates with Siemens, while Lucent cooperates with Riverstone

  Considering the complementarity in terms of products and markets, telecom device providers and network device providers tend to cooperate with each other. 3Com decides to cooperate with Simens to integrate the advantages of each side in Ethernet network and telecom devices to provide the quality of service to the users. Another cooperation happened between Lucent and Riverstone, a manufacturer of Ethernet switching device to improve the production line of the switching device.

  3Com announced to establish partnership with the Enterprise Service Department of Siemens to enhance the width and depth of its services to enterprises users by taking advantages of Siemens's global support system. 3Com will integrate the advantages in IP services, network security and data network and take advantage of the about 34000 professional teams of Siemens in 44 countries all over the world.

  Lucent also announced that it would cooperate with Riverstone, the provider of Ethernet switching device. It plans to sell the Ethernet switching device and routers of Riverstone and update the traditional CSN to the IP network.
