Cell voice access and VoWLAN will be integrated soon

　　According to the research made recently by ABI, an integrated equipment supporting both cell voice access and VoWLAN will appear on the market soon, which represents the advent of the age of mobile voice telecommunications.

　　Vonage, a VoIP manufacturer, will market VoWLAN telephone. Such a technique won't be put into use before the integrated equipment appears.
According to Phil Solis, analyst of ABI, Motorola will market enterprise-oriented Wi-Fi mobile phones by the end of 2004 or at the beginning of 2005. The price reduction of chips will lead to the appearance of household-oriented products later.

　　According to the final results of the research, the above-mentioned integrated voice access products will enter both the markets (enterprises, households).

Huawei winning a contract valuing more than 300 million USD in Zimbabwe

　　On November 3 of 2004, Huawei Technologies signed two contracts valuing 288 million USD and 40 million USD respectively with TEL*ONE (fixed telephone services provider) at the office of the president of Zimbabwe. Wu Bangguo, representing China and Robert Mugabe, representing Zimbabwe, witnessed the signing ceremony.

　　Under the national support, Huawei increased the investment on overseas market in recently years. This year, the sales value of the company on overseas markets will exceed 2 billion USD. On the African market, Huawei has set up more than 20 offices in the southern part of Africa. The equipment as provided by it has been used in nearly 30 countries. The company, winning the first commercial 3G contract in Africa (Mauritius), has become one of the major equipment providers on African market. The friendly visit of Wu Bangguo to Zimbabwe has greatly enhanced the cooperation between Huawei and telecom operators of Zimbabwe.

China Motion providing broadband telephone services---expecting 30,000 users in the first year

　　China Motion Telecom (H.K.) provides "ChinaMotion broadband telephone" services (local and overseas telephone number). The customers can register from this very day and can enjoy the service from Nov. 18.
Besides, it is said that the total investment made by China Motion and Huawei on NGN amounts to 25 million USD. The first sum is as much as 5 million USD.
