Britain company providing Speegle, the first voice searching engine
in the world
According to the report by Britain medias, a Scottish
voice technology company provided recently the first voice searching engine
(www. speegle.co.uk).
The voice searching engine (Speegle) as provided by the company, named
CEC and located in Edinburgh of Scotland, looks like Google. The major
function of it is based on the PanaVox computer voice technology of the
company with independent intellectual property rights.
The 3rd customer service center by Dell in
India to be operated in March of next year
According to medias from Hong Kong and Taiwan dated on Nov. 11, Dell
announced that it would set up the 3rd customer service center in India
and would hire 300 employees for it.
According to the statement made in New Delhi, the center will be located
in Chandigarh in northern India. It will be put into operation in March
of next year, providing technical support for the customer services.
The language (English) ability and low salary level in India attract Dell
and other overseas companies to set up customer service center in India.
Dell set up a customer service center in Bangalore in 2001 and the second
one in India is in Hyderabad
Polycom plans to occupy the enterprise-oriented IM market
in China with 500 million USD
Robert C.Hagerty, chairman of the board and CEO of Polycom
said recently at an interview in Beijing that Polycom, engaged in enterprise-oriented
interactive voice, video frequency and data communications, has over 500
million USD of cash and short-term investment fund at the very moment
and is looking for proper partners in the world.
RobertC.Hagerty stresses that Polycom is much interested in Chinese
market. He says: "we have just expanded the office in Shanghai to
strengthen our service in every respect, including customer service and
sales. I believe that China will be the future of the world, and there
is a bright prospect for the IT industry of China. For such reason we
will increase our investment in China.
However, RobertC.Hagerty didn't tell in what way the company would take
to develop its market share in China. According to the report, the competition
on the market of enterprise-oriented interactive voice, video frequency
and data communications has always been quite fierce. Giants like Cisco
are also preparing to take a part in it.
