Avaya in leading position on the global IP voice telecom market for consecutive four quarters

  Avaya, the world leading provider of telecom software, system and service, announced recently that it has strengthened the leadership on the global enterprise IP voice telecom market, being a leader for consecutive four seasons. According to the latest market research report released by Synergy, in the third quarter of 2004 Avaya took the leadership on the world market in both the income from IP voice telecom service and quantity of goods sent out. It has experienced a quick growth in the global enterprise IP voice telecom business. The quantity of goods sent out in this quarter has increased by 112% than that of the last year, while the global IP voice telecom market experienced an increase at a rate of 76%.

  Synergy's report shows that Avaya's income in this regard accounts for 25% of the total income on the world market in the third quarter of 2004., the same is with the quantity of the goods sent out, 6% higher than the competitor ranking the second. Income and send-out are the two key factors measuring the performance of an enterprise on the global IP voice telecom market.

i-mate establishing cooperation relationship with Skype

  Recently, i-mate (TM), innovator of wireless equipment solutions, and Skype Technologies, S.A., a global Internet telephone company, announced together that the first wireless mobile phone has been loaded on the Skype software.

Avaya releasing report on the performance in the first quarter of 2005


  Avaya (NYSE: AV), the world leading provider of telecom software, system and service, announced recently that it had made a profit of 33 million USD in the first financial quarter of 2005, with a diluted earning per share of 7 pence. The figures in the first financial quarter of last year are 30 million USD and 7 pence respectively.

  Sales income of Avaya in this very quarter (by Dec. 31 of 2004) has increased from 971 million USD (last year) to 1148 million USD, at a rate of 18%. The acquisition made recently is one of the reasons for the growth of the income.

  In 2004, the sales income and operating income of Avaya was 4055 million USD and 311 million USD respectively. The company aims to increase the sales income by 25% - 27%, and increase the operating income by 40% in 2005.
