Penetration rate of IP telephone service on the enterprise market
will be over 10%
According to the latest research report made by In-Stat, in 2005,
there will be a significant number of enterprises starting to deploy the
IP telephone system to make full use of the Internet in the filed of commercial
telecommunication. Over 30% of these companies, including those small
ones with less than 100 staffs, show great interest in the IP telephone
service. They plan to deploy IP telephone system in 2005.
According to In-Stat, in 2005, there will be over 10% of the enterprise-oriented
voice telecom services on the global market which is based on the IP telephone
solutions. Small-sized enterprises will be one of the most important forces
enhancing the application of IP telephone services due to the fact that
these enterprises are more and more interested in the advanced voice and
data network.
Adelphia adopting Nortel's VOIP solution
Adelphia, the 5th biggest CTV operator in America, announced today that
it would choose Nortel's VoIP solutions and global services to provide
telephone service oriented to the home network. Adelphia says that Nortel's
PacketCable VoIP solution is not only favored by itself, but also by many
others. With the competition becoming more and more keen, there will be
more companies like Adelphia looking for VoIP solutions to better their
service. According to the agreement signed between the two sides, Adelphia
will adopt Nortel's CS2000-Compact, a kind of super soft switch equipment.
Yifang Customer Service Interactive Center put into operation
On March 10th, Yifang Customer Service Interactive Center, the second
largest call center (out-contracted) in Shanghai was put into operation.
The customers include Dell, HP, Microsoft, Phillip and other world famous
enterprises.
Yifang Customer Service Interactive Center is located in Putuo district
of Shanghai. It has 280 positions, all well designed (VIP) and conditioned.
The center, including 10 rooms in total (each with different number of
positions--4 kinds: 50, 30, 20 and 10), has an independent operation management
system and is mainly engaged in out-contracted business, position leasing
and so on. It can provide high-quality service for the customers, based
on advanced service concept, mature management team as well as perfect
software/hardware system.
