Merrill Lynch choosing Avaya IP telecom solution again
Beijing - Avaya (NYSE: AV), the world leading provider of enterprise
telecom software, system and service, announced recently that Merrill
Lynch, a world famous financial management and advisory company, decided
to use Avaya IP voice telecom solution for its offices covering three
continents.
Avaya will deploy solutions based on Avaya Communications Manager and
S8700 media servers for the offices of Merrill Lynch in Sidney (Australia),
Sant. Paul (Brazil) and some areas in America, including N.Y., where the
headquarter of Merrill Lynch is located. It will serve for more than 10,000
employees.
Call center of HP put into operation in Dalian Software Park
The HP global call center was put into operation in Dalian Software Park
on March 2 of this year. This means that HP global operation center, including
HP global software service center (China), HP global call center (Dalian)
and HP business out-contracting center, was established officially.
HP global call center (Dalian) is one of the most important local call
centers of HP. It is now providing service for customers in North Asia,
including China Mainland, H.K., Taiwan, Japan and Korea, in five languages
(Mandarin, Cantonese, English, Japanese and Korean). After being put into
operation on Oct. 31 of 2004, it has provided high quality service for
customers in Taiwan, H.K. and Japan, and will increase the market margin
in Korea and China Mainland in the coming one to two years. It aims to
become a global customer support center of HP.
HP global call center (Dalian) was located in Dalian Software Park, occupying
an area of 4100 square meters, with 150 employees.
Pacific Su-pernet to provide VoIP service
Pacific Su-pernet announced yesterday that it has changed its name into
Pacific Internet (HK) to reflect the relationship with Pacific Internet,
the parent company listed in America. It is now marketing the VoIP telephone
service for enterprise users. After changing the name, it can make a full
use of the resources of the group and gain more market share, including
Singapore, Philippines, Australia, Thailand and Malaysia. Pacific Internet
is an independent ICSP (Internet Communications Service Provider), so
it is more flexible and more efficient in controlling the price.
