Research: Huawei ranking the first on the global market of VoIP media gateway

According to a research report released recently by the famous research institute Dittberner Associates, Huawei ranked the first on the global market of VoIP media gateway in 2004.
According to TechWeb, result of the research shows that Huawei occupied a market share of 24.8% for VoIP media gateway and soft switch in the last year, ranking the first in the world. Nortel Network ranked the second, with a market share of 18.21%, closely followed by Sonus, UT Starcom and SIEMENS.

The research result shows that in 2004, there were more and more network operators starting to upgrade the current fixed network.
