"12343" residential community service hotline to be opened this year

Recently, Xi'an municipal government held a news release conference to declare a good news to the citizens: the construction of "12343" residential community service hotline has been started and the hotline will be put into operation before the end of the year. It will provide various kinds of services to the citizens, including housewifery, maintenance, purchase/delivery, building management, ordering, leasing, consulting, consuming instruction, employment, travel-related information, and so on.

Research result shows business income from VoIP equipment increased by 40% than that of the same period last year

According to the market research made by Infonetics Research, the business income from the first generation of voice products amounted to 493 million USD on the world market in the first quarter of 2005, a decrease of 8% than the 4th quarter of 2004, and an increase of 40% than the first quarter of 2004. It is anticipated that this number will increase to 5.8 billion USD by 2008.

Business from Q1 enterprise IP telephone service shrunk by 8％--mixed solution much favored

According to the latest research report by Dell'Oro, the global enterprise-oriented IP telephone market shrunk by 8% in the first quarter of 2005. This is the first shrinking in the past two years.
However, the market for IP PBX business increased by 18％, which means that this market is still absorbing more and more investment. Compared with VoIP market, market of traditional PBX and other traditional voice equipment shrunk by 14％.

The five major IP telephone system providers in the first quarter of 2005 are Avaya, SIEMENS, Nortel, Alcatel and NEC.
