Sunyard honored as TOP 100 software enterprise

Recently, the Ministry of Information Industry publicized the list of top 100 enterprises in the software industry in China in 2005. Sunyard is on the list. The company gained this honor consecutively for four years ever since 2002.

Jupiter adopting Sonus products to provide voice service to consumers in Japan

Sonus Networks, provider of VoIP infrastructure solutions, announced recently that Jupiter decided to use Sonus platform as a base for its brand new VoIP network to provide advanced voice service for the consumers in Japan.

Fixed telephone service fading out---expenditure for mobile and VoIP service will account for 60% of the total sum in west Europe in 4 years

Market research company Analysys claims announced in a report on Wednesday that in the coming four years the traditional telephone service in west Europe will fade out.
It says that by 2010 the expenditures for mobile service and VoIP service will amount to 60% of the total sum for household voice service. Katrina Bond, author of the report expressed in a statement that "new kind of mobile service and VoIP service will take the place of traditional fixed telephone service, and we anticipate that in the coming five years 45% of the voice service will be realized through mobile and VoIP connnections, while in 2004 this proportion is only 28%".

According to the report, by the year 2010, one of four families in west Europe will give up the traditional telephone service and begin to use mobile and VoIP service. 45% of the home users will choose one of the two connection types (mobile or VoIP).

Bond says that in the beginning the market share of wired broadband in west Europe may increase rapidly, but by 2010 the market share of VoIP broadband connection will account for 9.6% in all the voice service connection.

Due to the low cost of VoIP broadband connection, the average income of the operators from each user will decrease steadily.
