Market value of VoIP service will reach 12 billion Euro in Europe
in 5 years
According to the research report made by Analysys, there will be 32
million users of VoIP telephone service in Europe in the coming five years.
Correspondingly, the expenses for IP telephone system and relevant services
will increase at an annual rate of 17%, reaching 12 billion Euro in the
end.
The report says that by 2010 there will be 1.6 million employees in west
Europe deciding to use mobile phone instead of traditional fixed telephone
in the office.
However, the report warned that unless the enterprise needs a new voice
system, it could not prove whether the investment in the IP telephone
system is worthy or not.
Analysys anticipates that with the development of IP telephone and mobile
phone service, the traditional TDM business will shrink gradually, and
as a result the expenses for enterprise voice system and service will
decrease at an annual rate of 1.3%.
