AltiGen's IP distributive call center adopted in DongYing Emergency
Commanding Center
In order to improve the capability of handling emergency events, AltiGen
constructed an emergency commanding system for DongYing with its efficient
IP distributive call center. The system integrated various kinds of resources
to provide 7*24 service to the public and handle issues concerning public
security, fire control, traffic accident, medical service, etc. It will
send patrol, fire brigade or traffic police to the site to solve the problem.

POLYCOM acquiring DSTMedia
POLYCOM, the world leading integrated telecom solution provider, announced
recently that it has acquired DSTMedia. With the headquarter located in
Beijing, DSTMedia is a private-owned video solution provider established
by the engineering team of Tshinghua University in 2001. It is also engaged
in providing video network solutions in Asia, and has provided low-cost
IP indoors video system, desktop products and TV wall in China, India,
Japan and Southeast Asia.
Sonus speaking highly of the achievements on VoIP market
The world leading VoIP solution provider Sonus announced today that
according to the latest marekt research report form iLocus, in the second
quarter of 2005, VoIP service based on Sonus equipment has amounted to
38.2 billion minutes, twice as much as that of the closest rivals. Sonus
equipment also takes the leading position in terms of domestic and international
long-distance telephone service.
Ilocus says that Sonus solution was adopted by some of the most successful
network operators, and for this reason Sonus became a leader in the field
of VoIP. In spite of the rapid growth of VoIP market, there is still a
large space for it to develop. It has been growing rapidly in terms of
number of users and service time.
In the second quarter of 2005, the length of world VoIP service has been
as long as 12.7.5 billion minutes.
