Huawei claiming 100 million users of color ring, including 40 million foreign users

After signing a contract with IAM (Ittissalat Al-Maghrib), the largest mobile telecom operators in Morocco, for a color ring system, Huawei became the first provider of color ring equipment that can serve more than 100 million users.

Color ring back tone: today, more and more people use customized back tone instead of traditional tone. As a value-added service, color ring back tone service brings significant benefits to the operators. According to consulting company OVUM, in the year 2008 the income from color ring back tone will reach 2.4 billion USD.

In May 2003, Huawei provided the first set of color ring equipment. During the two years after that, Huawei became the first provider in China provding such equipment whch can serve over 100 million users, and what's more, it brought the equipment to foreign market. Up until now, Huawei provides equipment for about 30 countries, including Portugal, Norway, Holand, Brazil, Russia, Bulgaria, India, Tailand, etc.

IDC: Siebel, leader on the CRM market

Siebel Systems was a leader on the world market of CRM. According to IDC, Siebel Systems claims a market share of 10.7% in the field of CRM software in 2004, while the closest rival claims 6.8%.

Skype says that it won't be acquired

It is said that some news groups intend to accquire Skype, but according to Skype, this is impossible.
Skype is mainly engaged in providing free-of-charge P2P voice network, which has 40 million users at present (it is growing by 150,000 persons a day). Besides, Skype provides two chargeable service: Skypeout and Skypein for phone calls between computer and common telephone set. Income from such service has exceeded 2 million RMB.
