VoIP enhancing the development of security gateway market, which may reach 7 billion USD in 2009

According to the latest research result from In-Stat, VoIP security solutions are being popularized.
In-Stat says that 75% of the enterprises which have applied VoIP will renew their gateway in the next year. It anticipates that in the coming a few years the market of security gateway will increase rapidly and reach 7 billion USD in 2009.

China Telecom cancelling VoIP service

China Telecom, the largest fixed telephone service provider in China, announced last week that it would cancel the VoIP service in its business area.

The company says that it will search and seize in Shenzhen, where VoIP telephone service is concentrated, and will cancel all the VoIP service in its business area. However, up until now the broadband users of China Telecom can still enjoy low-cost VoIP service provided by Skype.

Siebel upgrading CRM (leasing version)

On Sept. 13, the very day when Oracle announced to acquire Siebel, Siebel marketed CRM OnDemand 9, the latest version of the CRM system. By acquiring Siebel, Oracle became the largest CRM solution provider in the world.

CRM OnDemand 9 supports IBM's Lotus Notes group ware. Besides, it can be combined with Siebel's Contact OnDemand and CRM products more closely. Before this, the CRM (leasing version) only support Microsoft's Outlook. The company hopes to enlarge its market share by supporting Lotus Notes.
Salesforce is the largest competitor of Siebel on the market of online CRM leasing. The company will hold a meeting for Dreamforce users in San Francisco this week for the market promotion of new version of products. Siebel's action is taken against Salesforce.com.
