NIDC report: expenses on wireless LAN and IP equipment to be doubled in 2009

According to market research company IDC, by 2009, the expenses spent on wireless LAN and IP telephone equipment will be doubled in major commercial departments.

The report says that the expenses spent by the governmental department will be the largest. In 2004, the expenses spent by the governmental department on wireless LAN equipment was 100 million RMB yuan, and that on IP telephone equipment was 118 million RMB yuan.

IDC anticipates that the financial department and retail department will be the leader in terms of IP telephone service. Besides, it is said that by 2009 the retailing industry will experience a rapid growth in the application of IP telephone service.

The 4th PICMG Technology Annual Meeting of China to be held in Shanghai

The 4th PICMG Technology Annual Meeting of China, jointly organized by CHINA COMPUTER INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION (PICMG/P.R.C) and ADLINK, and sponsored by Intel will be opened in Shanghai from Oct. 25 to 26.
