Genesys honored as "Distributive IP call center of the highest expandability"

Genesys Telecommunications Laboratories, subordinate to Alcatel announced recently that its Genesys 7 kit was honored as "Distributive IP call center of the highest expandability".

Miercom, a company engaged in the testing and analysis of networking products and related telecom products, made an evaluation on the 2005 IP call center. Engineers of the company has developed many methods to test the technical products. The testing results are published on Business Communications Review in August of 2005.

Alcatel reached an agreement with British Telecom for the upgrading of IMS

Alcatel announced recently that it has made an agreement with British Telecom for the upgrading of. IP Multi-media Subsystem (IMS) of the SIP-based multi-media platform of BT. The upgrading, to be finished in April of this year, will enable BT to provide low-cost new services on an opened network that can be reutilized. It takes the advantages of SIP to combine the services of the fixed-network and the mobile network so that the user, no matter using which kind of telecom terminal, can get the same telecom service. Alcatel has developed a complete IMS solution to support this transformation of network. According to the agreement, Alcatel will upgrade the 5020 soft switch and ACME Packet Session Director SD.

Avaya publicizing the financial reports of the 4th quarter of 2005 and the whole year of 2005

Avaya, the world leading provider of enterprise telecom products and services, publicized the financial reports of the 4th quarter of 2005 (up until Sept. 30 of ) and the year of 2005. Sales income of the 4th quarter amounts to 1296 million USD, while that of the same period of the last year is 1076 million USD. Sales income of the year 2005 amounts to 4902 million USD, while that of the last year is 4069 million USD. Cash flow of the company increased by 148 million USD in the 4th quarter of this year.
