Israel Parliament adopting Nortel Networks'VoIP technique

Nortel Networks announced today that Knesset will adopt the advanced IP telephone network techniques of Nortel Networks to get reliable voice service. Nortel Networks's IP telephone technique will help Israel councillor enjoy long-distance telephone service, voice mail box and IM service through their own computers. The 1000E telecom server of Nortel Network will be the core equipment.

Sales income of telephone operators increasing by 60% in the 3rd quarter of 2005

According to the latest report made by Dell'Oro, in the third quarter of 2005, the sales income from the IP telephone market was increased by 19% than that of the last year. Sales income of media gateway was increased by 23%, still in the leading position. Due to the stable growth of the sales income of soft switch, the sales income of IP telephone operators was 60% more than that of the last year.

Alcatel on the list of leaders in the Asia-pacific region

Alcatel announced today that in the 2005 Magic Quadrant report on the telecom of enterprises in the Asia-pacific region, written by Johnson of the famous market research company Gartner Inc., Alcatel was listed as a leader.

Gartner's Magic Quadrant report provide an assessment on the capability of some manufacturers in meeting the demand on the Asia-pacific market, in terms of potentiality and executing force.

According to the report, by 2010, 70% of the companies in the world will construct IP-based telephone network, including traditional PBX platform and new type of IP platform. Before this, Alcatel announced that in the report written by Steve Blood and Christopher Lock of Gartner, Alcatel was also listed as a leader.
