Huawei competiting for IPTV standard with MPEG4

On Nov. 25, Huawei announced that MPEG4 is the most suitable one for IPTV standard, and it will transitting to H.264.
At present, China Communications Standards Association is preparing the IPTV standard. Huawei is one of the most important manufacturers in this field. It says that IPTV, NGN, 3G and IMS are the four focal points of the business.

Broadband service growing rapidly in Britain, and slowing down in America

According to foreign radios, an analyst of Datamonitor says in a report that the availability of broadband service in Britain has been the highest in the history.

The company says that the availability rate of broadband in Britain is over 60%. In Britain, at least 50% of the people who get access to Internet are enjoying broadband service, while in America, the growing of broadband service is slowing down.

AltiGen releasing 2005 financial report

On Nov. 16 of 2005, AltiGen Communications, the worled leading CTI telecom platform provider, released the financial report of the 4th financial season ended at Sept. 30. and the financial report of the year 2005. The reports show that AltiGen has experienced a business growth in the 4th financial season, and the sales income increased by 2.5% over that of the last season, and by 5% over that of the last year. The net income increased by 123% over that of the last financial season. The sales income in 2005 financial year was 15400000 USD, an increase of 4% over that of 2004.
