Income from mobile phone ring service in China to reach 17,000,000,000
RMB in 2010
According to a research report form Credit Suisse First Boston, by the
year 2010, business income from mobile phone ring service will reach 17,000,000,000
RMB, and will reach 30,000,000,000 RMB by 2015. In 2004 the income was
2,500,000,000 RMB.
At present, the sales income from mobile phone ring service in China accounts
for 0.6% of the, while that of developed countries accounts for 0.14%
of the GDP. The report says the pirate issues, large number of mobile
phone users, and quick upgrading of service will all enhance the increase
of business income.
Send-off of CPE going up by 8%, while the income from it going down
by 5% in the 3rd quarter of 2005
According to the latest report from Infonetics, in the third quarter
of 2005 the income from broadband CPE amounted to 1,200,000,000 USD, a
decrease of 5% than that in the second quarter. The send-off increased
by 8%, amounting to 28,800,000 sets. It is anticipated that by 2008 the
income will reach 4,600,000,000 USD.
In the third quarter, the business income from broadband CPE that supports
voice technology (ADSL IAD, EMTA and voice terminal adapter) amounted
to 188,400,000 USD, which is the best record up until now, 2% more than
that of the second quarter. With more and more consumers turning to VoIP,
annual income from CPE will increase at a rate of 123% during 2004~2008.
Achievements in the 3rd quarter of 2005:
- D-Link beat Cisco-Linksys to be No.1 on the broadband CPT market,
followed by Cisco-Linksys and Motorala.
- In North America, Europe, Middle East and Africa, the income from
broadband CPE decreased, while in Asia-Pacific region, Latin America
and CALA, the income increased(North America 37%, EMEA 28%, CALA 6%);
by 2008 the Asia-pacific region will be the hottest region for such
service.
Sales income from VoIP exceeding that from traditional telephone for
the first time
According to the latest report released by Synergy Research Group, in
the 3rd quarter, Cisco beat all the other traditional IP PBX and TDM providers
to be the No.1 in world voice market.
As the world largest provider of IP telephone, Cisco has sold over 6,000,000
IP telephones all over the world. It has over 30,000 users of enterprise
voice service in the world, including 80 major ones who deployed over
5000 IP telephones. Cisco is replacing about 12,000 traditional telephones
a day.
In 2004, IP-based voice telecom accounts for 8% of the 42,300,000,000
telecom lines all over the world. With more and more enterprises replacing
traditional telecom system with the data-voice integration telecom system,
the above-mentioned percentage will increase correspondingly, and by the
year 2007, the market of IP-based voice telecom will be 4 times as large
as the existing one. By then the investment in this field will probably
reach 5,300,000,000 USD.
