Analysys: IM providers will experience new growth

In 2005 the competition is much fiercer in the market of IM service, which has been more and more recognized as a tool to improve the customers' loyalty. In the new conditions the existing and possible users of IM service will choose again, or use different IM tools at the same time. Technical combination and innovation will enhance the development of such service.
According to Analysys's Report on Internet-IM, the number of users will increase to 85500000 by the third quarter of 2005

NTT developing encrypted IM software to support YAHOO and MSN

The engineers of NTT Telecom (Japan) has developed a kind of encrypted IM system (chatting software), which can encrypt the log-in information of the users and interact with some other IM systems.
This IM system will probably be put on Japan market in April this year, and after that will appear outside Japan. Core technique of this system is IM server, which control all the information communications.

AltiGen's financial statement shows steady growth


On Jan. 25 of 2006, AltiGen Communications (Nasdaq: ATGN), as the world leading CTI telecom platform provider, publicized its financial statement of the first financial quarter of 2006, which shows the company is developing steadily in the field of IP telecom. In this quarter, Sales income of AltiGen experienced a growth of 2% than that in the same period of the last year, an increased of 4.7% than that of the last quarter. Result of the financial statement has excluded the effect from SFAS No.123R, and stock compensation expense, and is based on commonly recognized accounting standards. It earned a net profit of $42,000 in the first quarter of 2006 (net profit in the same period of the last year is $342,000)
The company will list the effects caused by "stock compensation expense" in the statement 10-Q that will be publicized soon.
