Microsoft Released Mobile MSN New Version Unicom Users Not Supported For The Time Being

Microsoft has released MSN Mobile Instant Messenger 3.0 version recently. This is the third upgrade since last October when the company released MSN Mobile Instant Messenger version.

Besides, Microsoft has told Tianji ChinaByte that the MSN mobile version today supports over 400 mobile phone types and any mobile phones supporting JAVA platform.

But the MSN mobile version doesn’t support the users of China Unicom as the CDMA network of China Unicom relies on BRUW platform, which is a non-open standard. In order to support CDMA mobile phone, the MSN mobile version must pass the certification based on complicated Qualcomm standard, and the certifying process are mainly decided by China Unicom and Qualcomm. However, Microsoft has told the Tianji ChinaByte that it will take three months or so for the certifying process, and by then, MSN will support the users of GSM network of China Unicom.
