Interactive Intelligence To Debut "Commerce Edition"

Interactive Intelligence will launch a new e-business interaction management software solution called the Enterprise Interaction Center (EIC) Commerce Edition. EIC Commerce Edition was designed as an easy-to-install pre-packaged solution for e-businesses and enterprises. It's especially ideal for companies that need a value-added PBX solution now but would like an easy migration path for web integration in the future.

Caliber, Docent Join For Training Tools

Caliber Learning Network and Docent announced a partnership to combine Caliber's scalable e-Knowledge platform with Docent's eLearning management system. The pairing will provide enterprises with a turnkey e-Knowledge solution designed to deliver measurable, bottom-line corporate training results. Under the terms of the alliance, Docent Enterprise 4.5, an Internet-based knowledge exchange platform, will be teamed with Caliber's WebCORE e-knowledge platform. The joint corporate training solution will be hosted, run and supported from Caliber's data center and be accessible via Web browsers. Both companies will promote and sell the joint solution through each other's direct sales teams and channels.

New Executone Small PBX

Inter-Tel will this week unveil a new Executone-brand expandable small-office PBX. The system is an integrated communications platform with automatic call distribution, automated attendant, least-cost routing, built-in optional voice mail and more for offices with as few as 8 phones and as many as 72. It was designed for a broad range of markets from retail stores through service organizations, bank branches and educational institutions.

Avis To Open Another Pan-Euro Center

Avis' second pan-European call center will open in October, following the successful opening of the first centre in Manchester in March. This latest will be in Barcelona, Spain. These two new centers will support electronic business developments, as well as servicing demand through existing and emerging channels.
